Exam registration for private candidates - Edexcel

You will find the fees for all exams listed on the registration system. Your application will not be processed until you have paid for your exams in full.

Similarly, you will not be allowed to attend an exam if you have paid but have not completed the application and submitted this along with all required documents to the British Council for confirmation of your registration.

There are two ways you can pay;

Pay Online

We accept Visa and Mastercard credit and Debit cards only for payment. You will be directed to a secure payment page.

Payment in full must be received by the registration deadline of 22 August 2024 for International A Level and 06 September 2024 for GCSE and IGCSE.

If you have submitted your online application and full payment and haven’t received a confirmation message after two working days, please contact us at  za.edexcelenquiries@britishcouncil.org or +27 (0)11 560 9300.

Late registration - penalty fees

There is a normal registration period for each exam session.  please submit your final registrations ahead of the deadline. British Council will apply late penalty charges for short notice changes required once a deadline is reached. 

You may still be able to register for exams after 22 August 2024 for International A Level and 06 September 2024 for GCSE and IGCSE, but you will have to pay a penalty fee. You can find more information about late registration penalty fees from your British Council office.

You have successfully registered for your exam with the British Council. You will receive your Statement of Entry and information about your examination venues approximately three weeks before your exams.
