Embarking on an international experience? Make sure you’re equipped!
MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR ADVENTURE
Setting off on an international internship, course or volunteering scheme is hugely exciting. But meeting and engaging with people from different cultural backgrounds can be both thrilling and surprising. Learning how to understand different cultural behaviours, how to anticipate the challenges you may face and how to avoid cultural misunderstandings can be a key factor in ensuring that your placement is all you want it to be.
Drawing on over 80 years of experience in cultural relations, the British Council’s Intercultural Fluency training is specially designed to equip you with the understanding and techniques that you need to work and communicate more effectively across cultural and geographical boundaries.
